The first battle in this book was amazing!! I felt as if I was watching it happen in real time. I felt every kick, punch....and all the other things that happened. Wow! Now that's how you fight!!! Got me real excited to see how the book/series comes to an end.

Did not see that coming! More surprises! More info about the gods of old. Sienna has grown up. That's saying a lot for a nineteen year old metahuman forced to be leader against an army of goons trying to kill her against orders.

The last few chapters of this book, and particular series was indeed worth all the countless hours spent reading all ten books. Eye opening information, things I've been waiting to see and so much more!!! "Remember"....Well worth the wait! All ten books coming together in the end...POWERFUL!

POWER is the appropriate title for the last book in this Girl In the Box series. In fact, all titles, for each book, was on point. The graphics were "out of the world" for me. Not just talking about the book covers, more about the detailed, mental images written that so enhanced the telling of these stories about Sienna Nealon and the metahumans.

As a young girl, I was heavily involved with Nancy Drew, the Hardy Boys, Clara Barton, student nurse, and others and today, at 59 yrs old, my go to character is Sienna Nealon. Robert Crane has captured, for me, the perfect one to continue reading about for eons. I have truly loved this series. I was challenged at times, angry, questioning why, trying to predict what may happen next, wanting to know more, thrilled/excited and a host of other emotions went through me as I engaged in this series of books about the Girl in the box. Fiction or no fiction, this was a thought provoking, keep you guessing, extremely well written series. I highly recommend this series and will attach myself to the next series of books on Sienna Nealon...Girl Out of The Box series. So glad that Amazon had the first three books for free and I downloaded them...because I believe I'm hooked for life. Do I dare adventure into other writings of Robert Crane? I do have a life and may not be able to dedicate it all to reading his books. Great author!

Power The Girl in the Box Book 10 edition by Robert J Crane Mystery Thriller Suspense eBooks Reviews

I just completed "The Girl in the Box" series and I have to admit I really enjoyed reading them. The story was fun, the action was well done and the diversity of the characters personalities made them interesting. I read the complete 10 book series in just over two weeks, which speaks to both how fun they are to read and unfortunately how short the books in this series are. This really should have been a 5 or 6 book series at most. I know a lot of people complain about the price but $35 for a 10 book series isn't bad, even if some of the books are really short.

My main issue with this book is the absolute lack of character depth and detail. By the end of 10 books I would expect to know more about the characters, especially the main group. I know more about Sovereign and Janus than I do about Sienna, Reed or Scott. There were so many opportunities missed to really give depth to these characters and the author failed to seize them. For instance, why not have a chapter where Reed tells Sienna about their father, they would have been something nice to share with the readers. What ever happens at the end with Sienna's mom (Sierra), is she buried or just forgotten. There is zero depth to these characters, they all come across as very shallow because by the end of the series you still know nothing about them. If the author had added more to the characters, the books would have been longer and the series would have been much better. As is, there are just too many huge holes left in what should have been a completed story.

My second issue is that there is a lot of repetitiveness in this book. It happens a lot with dialogue, with fight scenes and with storyline. The characters make the same mistakes, win battles the same way and make the same snarky comments. There were a lot of parts I felt I could have skimmed over because I had been there before.

My third issue is that Sienna really comes off as nothing more shallow, snarky, distance teenager that can kick butt. After the time that has passed in these books and I realize it has only been a few years, she really doesn't mature or grow at all. By the end of the series she was one of my least favorite characters which is sad, since you know, she is the MAIN character.

Even with my complaints I really did enjoy this series, I just don't think it will be one that I regularly read. I have book series that I read constantly, my favorite (13 books so far) I have read at least a dozen times. This will be a series I will probably read again but probably not for a long time. I am torn at this point on whether to start the "Out of the Box" series to see if some of my issues get resolved. I just don't think I can justify spending the money after this series.

So to summarize, yes I would recommend these books because they are fun to read, have characters with fantastic powers and story flows well. If you want something to pass the time this is a good series for that. If you like a well defined storyline, characters with depth and well written dialogue well you might not want to spend the money. I don't regret purchasing or reading the series, I just wish there was more meat on the bone.
I was a casual reader of this series until about book 5, after that I couldn't put it down and blew through the rest of the series in about a month. I thought the first 4 books had a lot of holes that weren't being answered and Robert Crane did deliver those answer in 6 through 10. As for this book, it was exciting, there were a lot of conflicts culminating in a final epic battle. I enjoyed the back story of Sovereign and the contrast on his control over his souls and how Sienna controls her souls. I can't wait to see what Mr. Crane does in Girl Out of the Box!
Bravo Robert, Bravo!!! After I had started and completed the Sanctuary Series I must say that a hole that I never thought could be filled was created. How could I go through the day without an army or two being utterly defeated, and me not being thrown in the throes of emotion that the expertly woven characters go through. Then I stumbled upon Sienna Nielson, meta human bada** extraordinaire. Just like the sanctuary series I will leave one review that encompass the entire series. The Girl in the Box Series was an adventure like no other, it is not everyone that is able to create a characters and show the slow learning and the inevitable development that goes with the story so well. When Mr Crane puts pen to paper, you can know that a masterpiece is being created, like a symphony or a song, this is simply beautiful. I find it so hard to fully describe how I feel about this book without letting a spoiler or two out, but I shall resist ) Fellow lovers of literary wonders, you shall not be disappointed. If you have not read the series as yet, and you have somehow found yourself here, find those first three books in the series, and grow, laugh and cry with Ms Nielson and you will never regret, just as I never did, when I turned that very first page.
